Dwarf Pomegranates are one of the most hardy and drought tolerant fruit trees. Originating from Persia they’re accustomed to dry conditions, making them perfect for our Australian climate (known to thrive in the Dandenong Range area Victoria).
They make a fantastic ornamental plant
in a pot for a little patio.
Prefers a full sun position for maximum flowering though will tolerate part part shade. Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter. Drought tolerant once established.
Mulch and water well until established. For the best fruit yield, provide water during dry spells. Prune late winter to encourage dense flowering and heavier fruiting the following season.
